ABOUT DR RAHMAN
Associate Professor Rahman is an Interventional Cardiologist who joined the Gold Coast Hospital in 2000 as a trainee registrar. Subsequently, he has worked in the Mater Hospital and passed the Fellow of Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) while working in the Royal Brisbane Hospital in 2002.
He completed his postgraduate training, as well as a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Canberra Hospital in 2005. Currently, Assoc.Professor Rahman is the Clinical Director of the Coronary Care Unit at the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he has been a consultant interventional cardiologist since January 2006. He is an Associate Professor at Griffith University’s School of Medicine, as well as the Faculty of Health Science and Medicine at Bond University. His current academic work includes Director of Advance Training (Royal Australian College of Physicians) and Educational Supervisor for the Hospital Basic Trainee Registrars.
Professor Rahman has written a book chapter on Troponin and Acute Stroke in Advances in Troponin Research 2013, by Nova Publishing (Huappuage, NY), and written many journal articles.
Professor Rahman is also reviews the journal Annals of Medicine, and the European Journal of Clinical Investigation. He is a Regional Examiner for the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP), and also undertakes the role of examiner for the Australian Medical Council (AMC).
Assoc. Professor Rahman is a speaker at both National and International conferences and in 2003, was awarded the Registrars Clinical Training Award at the Canberra Hospital for his contribution to teaching. The focus of his practice in comprehensive cardiovascular medicine include; interventional cardiology, management of hypertension including renal denervation, echocardiography , pace maker insertion and trans oesophageal echocardiography.

Assoc. Prof Karam Kostner MD, PhD, FRACP, FCSANZ
ABOUT DR KOSTNER
Assoc. Professor Kostner (MD, PhD, FRACP, FCSANZ) is Director of Cardiology at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland.
He is a general Cardiologist and Lipidologist, with an interest in imaging. He has extensive clinical and research experience in lipid management, and primary prevention of CVD. He runs a large public and private Lipid and Primary Prevention Clinic at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane.
Dr Kostner is a past President of the CSANZ Qld branch, and he is CV Section Editor for the European Journal of Clinical Investigation. He has organised many National and International conferences, and is the chair of the World Congress of Clinical Lipidology, which was held in Brisbane in February 2017.
Dr Kostner has more than 100 publications, and is a Grant Reviewer for NHMRC, and several European grant agencies.

Dr Ahmad Nasir M.B.Ch.B, MRCP(UK), FRACP
ABOUT DR NASIR
Dr Nasir obtained his medical diploma in 1991 from Baghdad University, and received extensive training overseas. Dr Nasir became a qualified physician in 2003 in the UK.
He and moved to Australia in 2007 where trained in Cardiology at the Gold Coast University and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. In 2013, Dr Nasir joined the John Flynn Cardiology group.
His special interests include; coronary heart disease, heart failure, heart rhythm problems, heart valve problems, heart imaging and heart devices. His expertise include stress echocardiography, echocardiography, holter and event monitoring, trans oesophageal echocardiography, pre-operative cardiac risk assessment, cardiac failure, cardioversion and coronary angiography.

Dr Assad Jadeer Bs A Sci, MBBS, FRACP
ABOUT DR JADEER
After graduation, Dr Jadeer, did Bachelor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the university of Canberra.
Dr Jadeer finished advanced training in cardiology from the Canberra hospital between 2013 and 2014 and in Waikato hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand in 2015.He worked in The prince Charles hospital as a cardiology fellow in heart failure in 2016.
Dr Jadeer’s main interest is in echocardiography including trans oesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography and heart failure.
His other interest includes general cardiology, hypertension and preventive cardiology.
He was nominated “Registrar of the Year” in ACT health in 2013 and in 2014. He also had Australian national university teaching recognition award in 2008,2009,2010,2012 and in 2014. He speaks English, Farsi, Hindi, Pashtu and basic Russian.
Dr Richa Richa MBBS, FRACP
ABOUT DR RICHA RICHA
Dr Richa is an Endocrinologist working at GC heart and specialist centre, She completed her basic physician training at John Hunter hospital in Newcastle New South Wales.
Dr Richa also specialised in Endocrinology working at Darwin, Cairns and finished her training at Gold Coast university hospital.
She is currently relieving at GoldCoast university hospital as an Endocrinologist and also credentialled with Mater hospital Brisbane for casual work.
Dr Richa holds the academic title as Lecturer at Griffith University and specialises in field of hormones.
Her experience and area of interest include Pituitary, Thyroid, Parathyroid, Calcium and bone disorders including Osteoporosis and Adrenal disorders.
She has extensive experience in all kinds of Diabetes management including Type 1, Type 2 , Gestational diabetes, MODY and Insulin Pump management.
